In March, the highest temperature in Yangon is 44°C (112°F), while the lowest is 24°C (76°F). The average temperatures for day and night are 42°C (107°F) and 27°C (80°F), respectively. It's dry, with total precipitation of 0.4 inches.
There are various religious festivals in March, such as the Shwedagon Pagoda Festival. Since 1988, this has been one of the largest religious gatherings in the world. You can gain some insight into Buddhist culture and local traditions by participating in this festival.
We recommend you to visit the National Museum with exhibits representing the arts, local culture and religious history. You can see many scriptures and relics there. A guide is highly recommended for visiting the museum.
Clothing: T-shirt and shorts for the day, pants and a thin coat for the cool evenings. Also bring sunglasses and a hat.
Mandalay – Sunny and Pleasant

Bagan – Scorching Hot
Bagan is located in the central plain, known as "the dry zone" of Myanmar. In March the weather is unbearably hot, with average temperature of 34°C (93°F). The highest temperature is 45°C (113°F) and the lowest is 23°C (74°F). Outdoor activities are not recommended, especially from noon till early evening.

Full Moon Day of Tabaung: People throughout the country celebrate this festival for one day. It marks the transition between winter and summer.
Inndawgyi Pagoda Festival: This is convened in Myitkyina, the capital of Kachin State, and lasts 8 days.
